The SAFETY project is a three-year endeavour funded by the EU Erasmus+ program and spearheaded by the University of Foggia. The initiative unites 10 partners from 7 European countries, including 5 universities and 5 companies, all focused on elevating Emergency Medicine and Simulation standards. The project aims to modernize educational curricula, establish best practices, and disseminate these innovations throughout Europe's medical education landscape by utilizing advanced tools like high-fidelity manikins and virtual training modules. The primary objective is to better equip medical practitioners and students for the challenges of real-world emergency scenarios, thus enhancing the overall effectiveness and safety of emergency responses across the continent. Educators and trainers from CESIMAB have also contributed to the SAFETY project, adding further expertise to this multi-faceted initiative.
